We created all the graphics and animations for the 1 hour BBC TWO documentary about distinctive, magic-realist author Angela Carter.
A dream project in many ways, using an 18th century tunnel book as the constant device across all the sequences, we created a ‘tunnel book’ for each of the books featured in the show - from the dark forests of ‘Bloody Chamber’ to the psychedelic world of 70’s Japan for ‘The Infernal Desire Machines of Dr. Hoffman’. We even managed a reference to pioneering stop-motion animator Lotte Reiniger for the monstrous sexual predators featured in ‘Sadeian Woman’.
